Frequently Asked Questions

Sizing, stitching times, delivery, returns and visiting the boutique. If your question is not here, call us on +91 83338 54373 — we would rather answer it than have you guess.

Visiting the boutique

Where we are, when we are open, and how to book time with us.

We are in Sri Ram Nagar Colony, Puppalguda, Hyderabad — C92M+PVV, Secretariat Colony, Telangana 500089. That puts us a few minutes from Manikonda, Narsingi and the Outer Ring Road, and about ten minutes from Gachibowli and the Financial District.

Call us on +91 83338 54373 before you set out if you want a particular piece kept aside, and we will have it ready when you arrive.

The boutique is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST. We are closed on Sundays and on public holidays.

If you need to come outside those hours, ask — we can usually arrange it for a fitting or a collection.

Walk in whenever you like. An appointment is only worth booking when you want unhurried time with someone — a bridal consultation, a first set of measurements, or choosing fabric for a custom piece.

You can book one on the Appointments page once you have an account, and we will confirm the slot on WhatsApp.

Yes. We bring a selection to you, take measurements and discuss designs at your home. Home visits cover Manikonda, Puppalguda, Narsingi, Gachibowli, Kokapet, the Financial District and the neighbourhoods around them.

There is a small visit fee that depends on the distance, and it is shown to you before you confirm the booking. If you order during or after the visit, that fee comes back to you as store credit.

Sarees, blouses and custom work

What we sell, what we can make, and how customisation works.

Sarees, designer blouses, lehengas and ethnic wear, both ready-to-wear and made to your measurements. We also do maggam, bead, sequence and stone work, and name or initial embroidery.

The full range is on the Collections page, and everything shown there is in the boutique too.

Yes — that is most of what we do. Give us your measurements once, on your account or in person, and every future order uses them. You can save measurements for family members as well, which is how most bridal orders run.

If you are not sure of your measurements, come in or book a home visit and we will take them properly. A blouse stitched from guessed numbers is the single most common reason an order has to be redone.

On pieces that offer it, yes. The Design Customizer lets you choose the neck shape, sleeve style, back neck, latkan, border and the stone, bead or maggam work, and see the effect before you order. Anything that costs extra is priced as you pick it, so the total never changes after the fact.

Pieces without the customizer are sold as photographed. If you want something changed on one of those, call us and we will tell you whether it can be done.

Closely, but not exactly. Fabric is a natural material photographed under studio lighting, and every screen renders colour differently. The weave, fall and shade of what arrives may vary slightly from what you saw, and a minor variation of that kind is not a defect.

If an exact shade matters — matching a saree to a blouse you already own, for instance — come in and see it in daylight, or ask us to send a photograph taken in ordinary light.

Ordering, delivery and payment

How long things take, what delivery costs, and how you pay.

Ready-to-wear pieces are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days. Made-to-order pieces take 7 to 21 days to make, depending on the work — heavy bridal embroidery sits at the longer end of that.

Within Hyderabad, delivery is 1 business day after dispatch and often the same day. Elsewhere in India it is 3 to 7 business days.

Nothing. Delivery is free anywhere in India, with no minimum order value — we absorb the courier and parcel charges. The price at checkout is the price you pay.

You can also collect from the boutique at no charge. Tell us and we will hold the piece for you.

Tell us the date at checkout. We will either confirm it or come back with the earliest date we can genuinely meet, and you decide before we start work.

We would much rather say a date is tight than accept it and disappoint you. For bridal and heavy embroidery, give us as much notice as you can.

UPI, credit card, debit card and net banking, all through Cashfree. You can also pay at the counter in the boutique, and staff will record it against your order.

Larger orders can be paid in parts — an advance now and the balance before dispatch. Ask us and we will set it up.

Every order has a live tracking page under Orders on this site. For made-to-order pieces it shows the production stage your garment has reached — cutting, embroidery, stitching, ironing, ready — and after dispatch it shows the courier's own updates.

We also send order updates to your mobile number on WhatsApp.

Changes, returns and refunds

What can be sent back, what cannot, and how a refund reaches you.

Ready-to-wear pieces can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unworn and unwashed, with tags and packaging intact.

Made-to-order and customised pieces cannot be returned, because they were made to your measurements and your choices. The exception is when something is wrong with the piece — then we put it right at our cost, whether it was made to order or not.

Contact us before sending anything back. A parcel that arrives without a return reference cannot be traced to your order.

Before work starts, yes — cancel for any reason and get a full refund. For a made-to-order piece that means before we cut fabric; for ready-to-wear, before it is dispatched.

Once cutting has started we can still cancel, but the cost of fabric and work already done is deducted, and we will tell you exactly what that comes to before you decide. Once dispatched, an order cannot be cancelled, though a ready-to-wear piece can still be returned.

Bring it in, or tell us and we will collect it. If it was stitched to measurements you gave us and it does not match them, the alteration is free and we treat it as our error.

If the measurements themselves were off, we will still alter it — there is usually a small charge, and we will tell you what it is first. Either way, call us before doing anything: a garment altered by another tailor cannot be put back.

Refunds go back to the method you paid with. Once we approve it, the money typically reaches a UPI account within 3 to 5 business days and a card within 5 to 7, depending on your bank.

If you would rather have store credit, say so — it is issued immediately and does not expire.

Your account and privacy

Why we ask for what we ask for, and what we do with it.

Yes, for an order, an appointment or saved measurements. We use your mobile number and email to confirm the order, send the receipt, agree a delivery date and reach you if something needs deciding.

If we opened an account for you at the counter, you finish setting it up yourself the first time you sign in.

We use them to make your garments, and nothing else. They are visible to the staff working on your order and to no one outside the boutique. We never sell or share customer data, and we do not use it for advertising.

You can view, correct or delete your measurements from your account at any time.

Call +91 83338 54373 during Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST, or email streevadesigners@gmail.com. We aim to answer email within 2 business days.

The quickest route for anything about an order already placed is to reply to the WhatsApp thread the order updates arrive on — it reaches the same people, with your order already in front of them.
